Changes to Oulu ports Vihreäsaari harbor basins and safety equipment

14.12.2023 The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has issued a decision according to which the nominal navigation depth of the Vihreäsaari harbor basin can be returned to 10 meters.

The harbor basin of Oulu’s Vihreäsaari has been rehabilitated and the former dredging depth is returned to 11.3 m and 6.9 m. The geometry of the harbor basin has been improved at the same time.

Safety devices TL-76768 and TL-10238 have been inspected and TL-10196 will be changed to a western cape.

The changes will be implemented immediately for the harbor basins and for the safety devices by 31 May 2024.
